Overview
A good cooler should make food less stressful, not become the whole identity of the campsite.
Packed with a block and a bag of ice, it has done 2-3 day runs in Arizona heat without turning everything into soup. It is not a giant roto tub and it is not a cheap box store cooler either. It sits in a useful middle spot where you can still move it when it is full and the lid hardware feels solid.
The steel shell takes real abuse in the bed of the truck, the latch feels like a real latch, and the whole thing cleans up quick once you are back in the driveway. It looks good in camp photos and it does not feel disposable.
If you want one cooler that feels like a piece of kit instead of a big plastic bin, this is the one that keeps coming with me.
